Welcome to CKCA

The Cambridge Kerala Cultural Association (CKCA) is a vibrant and welcoming community organisation that brings together people of Kerala origin living in and around Cambridge, Haverhill, and the broader Cambridgeshire region. At CKCA, our mission is to foster a sense of unity, preserve our rich heritage, and enrich the cultural fabric of the local community through meaningful events, social gatherings, and educational initiatives. Our roots lie in celebrating the spirit of Kerala—its language, music, art, cuisine, and customs—while creating a friendly and inclusive environment for families, professionals, students, and new arrivals from our home state. Over the years, CKCA has evolved into much more than a cultural forum: it is a trusted support system, a place where lifelong friendships are formed, and where traditions are both shared and renewed. Membership in CKCA offers opportunities to engage in a diverse calendar of programs. These include celebratory festivals such as Onam, Easter, Vishu, Christmas and cultural performances, as well as social events like the Summer BBQ and community picnics. Beyond celebrations, we focus on community upliftment through charity initiatives, educational workshops, and language classes designed to strengthen our bonds and give back to society. CKCA has a proud history of organising events that unite generations—senior members passing down stories and customs, while younger participants contribute fresh energy, creativity, and modern perspectives. This intergenerational synergy allows us to stay deeply connected to our heritage while evolving with the times. Each gathering reflects a shared commitment to mutual respect, learning, and joy. Sustainability is core to our ethos.
